Wedding FAQs

  • What made you want to be a wedding planner?

    • After taking a leap of faith with my first Winter Wonderland wedding in 2014, I was in love with weddings. Entyse Lyfe does other events but nothing compares to the beauty of a wedding. 

  • Describe the most challenging wedding you planned and how you handled the problems that came up.

    • The most challenging wedding I ever planned landed in my lap just 7 days before the wedding. I had to pull together all the final details with no time to spare. With the help of the amazing bride to be, we were able to finalize the music, photography and catering details in only 7 days.

  • How long have you been in business? 

    • We were established in January of 2014!

  • How many full-scale weddings have you planned? When was your last one?

    • Entyse Lyfe has planned 8 full-scale weddings over the last 5 years. The most recent one was September 2019.

  • How many wedding clients do you take on in a year?

    • We only take on 15 Weddings a year. We do host other events but only a limited amount of wedding events. 

  • Is wedding planning your full-time job?

    • Wedding Planning is full-time for me (Andrea) but our team is mostly part-time and on call for events.

  • Have you ever worked at the venue we've chosen?

    • We have worked at quite a few venues in the DC, MD and VA area. For a full list of venues we have worked, click here.

  • Are we required to book only the vendors you recommend or do we have the freedom to hire someone even if you haven't worked with them before?

    • No you are not required to use our recommendations, you can book whoever you like for your wedding day. We do have vendor recommendations available if you should need them. 

  • Do you take a commission or discount from any of the vendors you would refer us to?

    • No, we do not get commissions or discounts from our vendors. We like to recommend vendors that will enhance the experience of your wedding. Our referrals are vendors that we have worked with before and can vouch for their work ethic.

  • Will you be present at all of the vendor meetings and will you assist us in reviewing all of the vendor contracts and making sure everything is in order?

    • Each of our packages include Flex Planning Time for you to use for this very thing. If you would like to have us there at your meeting, we can do so under the available Flex Planning Time. We have you forward us vendor contracts for review as a part of the package so we can make sure everything is in order.

  • Will you invoice us for all the vendor fees or will we need to pay each one of them ourselves?

    • You will need to establish agreements with the vendors on your own. Entyse Lyfe is not responsible for contracting your wedding day vendors.

  • For the vendors who will be on site the day of our wedding, can I provide you with checks for final payment that you will distribute to them?

    • Yes, as long as you have the final payment sealed and labeled, we can distribute them on your wedding day.

  • If issues arise with the vendors before, during or after our wedding, will you handle them or are we responsible for this?

    • Yes, vendor management is a part of every package. We will handle any issues that arise with your wedding vendors before, during and after your wedding.

  • What kind of planning do you offer?

    • We offer Logistical Planning. This includes timeline, checklist, referrals, and floor plans. We do not offer Design Planning which is a completely different type of planning.

  • Can you refer us to a vendor who can assist us with event design?

    • Yes, we have partnered with some incredible designers that can help bring your vision to life.

  • Will you be the person on site the day of our wedding or will it be another planner? How many assistants will you have?

    • More than likely, you will be working with Andrea on your wedding day. However, if scheduling does not permit, you will be working with one of our lead planners. Assistance on the day of vary based on your service needs and guest count.

  • In case of an emergency that prevents you from being at our wedding, who will be the backup planner? What are their qualifications?

    • Yes, a backup planner is covered in our agreement. If there is an emergency that prevents Andrea from being your main planner, you will be assigned Sam Lane. She has 2 years and over 10 weddings of experience working with Entyse Lyfe Weddings. 

  • What time will you arrive and depart on the day of our wedding?

    • We are onsite 3 hours prior to your Ceremony and we are there until about 1 hour after you have said Good Night.

  • Will you stay on site after our wedding to make sure everything has been broken down and all vendors have left the location?

    • Yes, we are the last to leave after everything is done. We do a final sweep of the venue to make sure nothing is left behind.

  • Will you provide us with a timeline of the wedding and a floor plan of the wedding venue?

    • Yes, you will receive a timeline and floor plan for your wedding event.

  • How many meetings and phone calls are included in our package?

    • Depends on your package selected. For more details on Flex Planning Time, click here.

  • Is the wedding day rehearsal included in your services?

    • Yes, your wedding day rehearsal is included in all of our packages.

  • How do you charge for your services? Hourly, percentage of the wedding cost, or flat rate?

    • We charge a flat rate for services. Additional services like additional hours are available at an hourly rate.

  • Can you provide a detailed list of all the items included in your fee?

    • Yes, we provide a detailed list in our Wedding Planning Agreement after we have had a chance to chat.

  • What is your payment policy? Do you accept credit cards?

    • We do require a deposit to book and you can pay online via Credit Card or PayPal. You can save money by paying in Cash as an alternative. Checks are not accepted.

  • How much of a deposit is required to book your services? When is the final payment due?

    • Our deposit to book is 30% of your total package price. The final payment is due 7 days before your wedding date.

  • Are there any fees that won't be included in your proposal that we should be aware of?

    • No, all fees are included in the Wedding Planner Agreement. Extra fees include travel for locations over 50 miles from our location, no call no show fee for missing scheduled appointments and late fees for late payments.

  • What is your refund or cancellation policy?

    • You can cancel up to 30 days before your wedding. The deposit is non-refundable.

  • Can you provide a list of references?
